Klymit X-Pillow Review – Is it Worth it?

Posted on October 9, 2019February 25, 2023 by Mark Berry

Social media and advertising go hand in hand these days. You may see lots of ads for different gear companies trying to promote their products. I have been seeing several ads from Klymit about getting a free camping pillow by just paying for the shipping.

The ads worked because I purchased one.

Upon receiving the pillow first thing I noticed is how light (2.25 ounces) and how small it packed down into its little carrying case.

I have never been interested in a camp pillow but for the price of shipping it was worth a shot.

After playing with it and using it in my hammock, in bed, a foot rest, and even an unexpected weekend at the hospital it came in clutch.

First thing I noticed though, is it’s loud and slides around a lot. They sell a cover to put around it, but I just used an extra shirt that I carry in my bag anyway and that helped out a lot with the sliding and noise it makes.

You have to blow air into it so you can put as much or as little air as you want for your comfort.

Overall do you need this? No! But if it helps you get a little more comfortable and get a better night sleep then it’s worth it in my book. Plus coming in at only 2.25 ounces it’s worth it to add it to your pack and forget it until you need it.
