Gear Talk – Sandisc IXPand Flash Drive For Hiking

Posted on October 8, 2019July 19, 2020 by Mark Berry

I have always enjoyed taking photos while hiking. My main camera is my phone, and since filming lots of video out on the trails now my storage usage fills up really fast.

I was looking into a new iPhone with a bigger storage and even price matching cloud sites.

Then I seen this handy little device.

It’s a Sandisc IXpand flash drive that plugs right into the iPhone lightning port.

All you have to do is plug it in and download the app.

You can copy files from the iPhone to the drive and even copy files from the drive back to the phone.

As long as the app is open you can take photos directly to the drive itself.

There’s also an option to just view photos and video on the drive.

The other end is a convenient USB port to plug right into a computer if you need to make space.

The range of these go from 32gb all the way up to 256gb.

You can purchase these at Amazon or in store at Walmart. (Walmart only sells 32gb in store at the moment)
