Gecko Brands Lightweight Dry Bag 3 Pack

Posted on January 17, 2019July 19, 2020 by Mark Berry

Gecko Brand Bags can be found either on Amazon or in Meijer stores. (located in the midwest) I happen to live down the street from a Meijer store so I decided to give these a try and put them to the test.

The 3 pack comes with three different sizes.

Large Bag – Yellow – 8.8 Liter
Medium Bag – Red – 4 Liter
Small Bag – Blue – 2 Liter

Right out of the package I notice they are super lightweight. The material quality seems to be pretty good as well. On the package it says it will protect from rain, sand, water and snow. So I decided to test the water claim. Because if it can withstand water, snow and sand shouldn’t be an issue.

Firstly I put in brown packing paper so if it does get wet I can quickly see wet spots.

After folding the top three to four times then connected the buckle I sat it outside in the rain for around 20 minutes.

Left out in the rain for 20 minutes

Even though the package and the bags themselves say “Not Intended for Submersion”. I figured I’d do it anyway.

To my surprise I took the packing paper out of the bag and there was not a single drop on the paper. Not going to lie I was pretty impressed.

For the price and the fact that you get three bags in this package its worth it for sure. They even have bigger sizes up to 50 Liters. So far i’m liking the brand and quality. Ill be picking up more Gecko Brands in the near future for sure.
