Indiana is known for flat terrain covered in corn fields. However there is more than corn in Indiana. Here is a list of must see waterfalls that are in Indiana.
- Cataract Falls
Cataract Falls is the Largest Waterfall in Indiana with a plunge of 20ft. It has an upper and lower end of falls that are about a half mile apart. There is a trail between the two that you can hike or a road with a parking lot at either end. During the winter there is usually no gate fees.
Bonus: If you don’t mind the cold and visit in the winter months you will usually enjoy the falls alone.

2. Leonard Springs Nature Park
Leonard Springs is a hidden gem in Indiana that no one talks about. Mainly because no one really knows about it. Thats what makes it special. I have visited this park a lot when in Bloomington and there is never anyone here. It’s a small 1.1 mile loop trail with structured stairs and now a bridge. It’s a very quiet special place.
Bonus: Visiting this park after or during a heavy rainfall brings out small waterfalls all around you for an incredible site. Please be careful as it gets very slippery.

3.McCormicks Creek State Park
This waterfall is easy to access. It has a parking lot near the trail head with a short trek down into the canyon. There are a couple lookout points to see the falls before making it to the bottom. It has a plunge of about 10ft with a surrounding limestone canyon. This is a state park so you will be charged a gate fee.
Bonus: Visiting during the summer months it is extremely busy. Visiting during late fall/early spring has been the best times with less traffic.
